We have several Blues Clues videos and this is my favorite. My daughter started watching it at 18 months and by 2 she knew all her letters and sample words that started with each. At 3-1/2 now she writes and verbally spells words and it all started with this video! The other favorite of mine is "Blues Big Musical Movie", especially the episode with Ray Charles and the parts needed to make a song.

My 3 & 5 year olds love this Blues Clues. They enjoy the "Blues Room" as a change to the old animated blues clues. This DVD helps them practice their alphabet in fun and creative ways. A good buy.

The Alphabet Train - All aboard! Everyones in the backyard building an Alphabet Train. The train is made up of twenty-six boxes- one for each letter of the alphabet- and we need to help find something for each box. We play Blues Clues to figure out what Blue wants to put in the last box. We help Pail figure out which items begin with certain letters. Then we help Periwinkle put a group of letters in the right order. The train is almost finished when we skidoo into a world of letter magnets to identify words beginning with the letters V,W,X, and Y. when the train is complete, we sing a rousing song that names something starting with every letter of the alphabet. Lets Write! - Joe and Blue are being writers today! Were making labels for things in our house- like hat, door and Sidetable Drawer. Using our finger, we help Joe write letters and words, paying special attention to the shapes and lines of each letter. And we play Blues Clues to figure out what Blue wants to write. We help Marky the Marker write labels for boxes in our closet and then skidoo to help Palette write a whole word. We sing a song about some of our favorite letters with Palette, and then head back to solve Blues Clues. At then end, we celebrate all the words weve written.
Magentas Messages - Magenta is going on a trip to the beach- and she asked us to take care of her house while shes away! Magenta leaves us a message so well know what to do. Blue wants to write a message too, and we play Blues Clues to figure out what it should say. We spend the whole day at Magentas house, reading messages and figuring out how to water her plants and feed her fish. Her message tells us to go to the computer, where we hear "Bloop Bloop!" Magenta sent us an email! We help Joe read Megentas message about what shes been doing at the beach. When Magenta gets home, she thanks us for having done such a wonderful job taking care of her house.

I love the look of this it is very unique, Thats all I can really say thats a positive. Thats why I am very disappointed in this product. It really should be called just a bag. The top has the cute flap but that is all it has to keep the food cold or even in the bag. The compartment is big enough for food and drink but they wont stay cold because it doesnt seal it in. If you dont need to pack cold items this would be perfect. Instead of using this as my daughters lunch box for school I use it to pack snacks in for the car ride home from school since crackers dont need to be cold.

This is a great lunchbag. My daughter loves it. The strap means no having to hold it while walking to school. We dont have any trouble keeping stuff cold and we live in the desert (Phoenix, AZ) We just put in an ice stick. We love the size. My wife likes that a large odd shaped item will still fit as it is soft and can flex outward. She also likes that it is staying clean. I love that you dont see any other kids with it and it is so dang cute!

My five-year-old was thrilled to get some Scooby stuff that looked like it was for a girl. The bag is very well made and the stitching appears to be quality. I do wish the interior was a lighter color, it is brown inside and hard to see at the bottom. I also wish that there was a zipper enclosure instead of a flap coming down, with the top open underneath. I added a couple of velcro dots to remedy this.

If the clues cash register, cart, and food dont add up for you, the kid chorus will help you out. The second episode finds the pair in their backyard making a "portrait of pals," a painting of their many-colored friends. But they only have primary colors, so in order to paint Orange Kitten, for instance, they have to mix red and yellow. One of the best episod in Blues clues! I have 2 same dvd, one in play in car, the other one at home. They teaches colors and "Colors everywhere song is leaning how to mix the colors. Children easy to learn colors with song. I love this episod.

My son is two and has learned so much from this DVD. He enjoys mixing his own colors now and knows just which colors to put together to get a new color. And hes learned new shapes that he didnt know before (and its just cute to hear him try and say "trapezoid"). As with any show my child watches, I watch with him and we talk about it all. He learns so much more that way. The fact that he enjoys the show makes it fun for both of us.

This is a pretty good dvd. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is the dvd dosent just play through all 4 episodes. It just plays the 2 with Joe. If you want to see the 2 episodes with Steve you have to go into another menu option. I bought this dvd for a road trip and it was frustrating that I had to climb around the car after 2 episodes so my daughter could see the rest of the dvd.

This one is definitely one of the most played ever in our house - it entertains and teaches color and shape contents alike with fun songs, games and the usual Blues Clues clue hunt.
If youre not sure whether this series is for your toddler - go ahead and get this one. The colors are not just the regular blue, yellow and red but wonderful shades like chartreuse and aquamarine :-D
As I always watch every video with my kids at least for the first time I highly recommend this one as one of my all time favorites out of the Blues Clues series and general childrens videos as well.

No doubt about it, Death Race 2000 is one of the greatest B-movies ever made. A crown jewel in the career of B-movie king Roger Corman, it's a sublime example of exploitative filmmaking from a time when Corman's low-budget quickies were about to be swept aside by the blockbuster success of Jaws and Star Wars, and all of its outrageous ingredients combined to create a schlock-movie masterpiece. Liberally infused with director Paul Bartel's macabre sense of humor, Corman's mandatory formula for success (R-rated violence and nudity, served up at least once every 15 minutes) is zanily applied to a near-future scenario (similar to Rollerball, also released in 1975) in which a fascist empire appeases its oppressed citizens with "Death Race 2000," an automotive spectacle in which five costumed racers drive wacky race cars cross-country from New York to "New Los Angeles," scoring points with hit-and-run killings awarded on a sliding scale, with highest points for hitting children and the elderly! In addition to "Calamity Jane" (played by former Andy Warhol acolyte Mary Woronov), "Matilda the Hun" (Roberta Collins), and "Nero the Hero" (Martin Kove), the hottest contestants are "Machine Gun" Joe Viturbo (Sylvester Stallone, on the verge of Rocky stardom) and the reigning champion "Frankenstein" (David Carradine), whose "Death Race" prowess has reached near-mythic proportions. Filmed for $300,000 on desert-road and freeway locations throughout California's San Fernando Valley, Death Race 2000 packs more entertainment into 78 minutes than most movies can muster in two hours or more. Although it originated as a serious short story by Ib Melchior (best known as the writer-director of The Angry Red Planet), Corman took a cue from Dr. Strangelove and gave the material a satirical spin, resulting in non-graphic road-kills that are more hilarious than horrific, especially with the play-by-play race commentary by legendary disc jockey "The Real Don Steele," whose priceless performance (along with Carradine's deadpan drollery) turns Death Race 2000 into a low-comedy classic. No doubt about it, Death Race 2000 is one of the greatest B-movies ever made. A crown jewel in the career of B-movie king Roger Corman, it's a sublime example of exploitative filmmaking from a time when Corman's low-budget quickies were about to be swept aside by the blockbuster success of Jaws and Star Wars, and all of its outrageous ingredients combined to create a schlock-movie masterpiece. Liberally infused with director Paul Bartel's macabre sense of humor, Corman's mandatory formula for success (R-rated violence and nudity, served up at least once every 15 minutes) is zanily applied to a near-future scenario (similar to Rollerball, also released in 1975) in which a fascist empire appeases its oppressed citizens with "Death Race 2000," an automotive spectacle in which five costumed racers drive wacky race cars cross-country from New York to "New Los Angeles," scoring points with hit-and-run killings awarded on a sliding scale, with highest points for hitting children and the elderly! In addition to "Calamity Jane" (played by former Andy Warhol acolyte Mary Woronov), "Matilda the Hun" (Roberta Collins), and "Nero the Hero" (Martin Kove), the hottest contestants are "Machine Gun" Joe Viturbo (Sylvester Stallone, on the verge of Rocky stardom) and the reigning champion "Frankenstein" (David Carradine), whose "Death Race" prowess has reached near-mythic proportions. Filmed for $300,000 on desert-road and freeway locations throughout California's San Fernando Valley, Death Race 2000 packs more entertainment into 78 minutes than most movies can muster in two hours or more. Although it originated as a serious short story by Ib Melchior (best known as the writer-director of The Angry Red Planet), Corman took a cue from Dr. Strangelove and gave the material a satirical spin, resulting in non-graphic road-kills that are more hilarious than horrific, especially with the play-by-play race commentary by legendary disc jockey "The Real Don Steele," whose priceless performance (along with Carradine's deadpan drollery) turns Death Race 2000 into a low-comedy classic.
